Moving to the island next to the one that the bombers took off from to drop the first nuclear bombs on civilian targets. One of my five careers In the 90’s I directly helped the military by working at Parker Hannifin logistics/overhaul and repair and CSD (control systems division) manufacturing of motion control devices for military aircraft including; Tomahawk missiles, attack helicopters, jump jets and f-18’s. Mostly electro-hydraulic motion control deices. I was final test at both facilities and at logistics produced F-18 problem solving team meeting minutes when we upgraded the fleet. Some of the flap actuators we did had blue paint overspray on them (guess why)?
This applies to being on an island chain which is still of extreme military importance, including currently redoing the runways that those bombers took off from, and close to Guam which has big military presence. I say all of this because the people in the military may want to jabber jaw with me about some of the equipment etc. You know I did work alongside a bunch of ex-marines there. Too many stories surrounding all that but there’s my military cred. You could call it my service- I built better killing machines and bombs.
There’s all the name dropping you get. Today at least. Sometimes a person having military experience, eyes might light up when I tell them of my experience there. I guess their’s characters everywhere…
Update; is that the thousands of dollars in equipment to run solar aircon and start the gardens is on order and being held on the island or arriving soon after I do. The first component has already arrived and waiting for me on-island; the 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter. I just got done with a fairly solid final buy and ship today after flattened for over a week with some respiratory thing….on it’s way out…
Speaking of logistics, my brain is turning into thinking like a computer again, since I worked with AI for maybe 30 hours this week finishing the buying which involved also finalizing the build of the solar power systems and gardening systems, ordering for three different lists. 1. Ship to island. 2. Ship to me on mainland. 3. Buy on island, and a soft 4th for just about to finalize the battery from a solar company on-island instead of all the logistics of freight forwarding….Coming together.
