Stress reduction

These things look like a Popsicle but they are a gourmet dessert from Korea. Creamy yum, good thing I bought two this time, and no I don’t read the ingredients on everything just yet…part of not dying from stress. Suffice to say I was having some nightmares and feeling afraid. You wanted the good and bad. Well, making a go of it on a small remote island has been very smooth, but, ya gotta pay somehow right. Today was a deep breath, and lots of “everything’s gonna be alright” self talk. I must of smiled and shared hello’s with 8 people just picking up groceries. Count how many people genuinely smile and say hello to you picking up groceries. Here, people wave to you when they are driving down the street. And I love how most people drive here. You can almost walk faster. The weather is like a sauna so you have to walk slow. It’s always about 80/80 that’s hot/humid. So walking fast quickly reminds me of several things; age, weight, shape. Its ok though cuz, it’s an island mon. Island time it, sloooow down.

Get it, got it, good. Now here’s a faster version of a Pixies song that I’m thinking of doing a reggae version of. Never saw this clip which has Kim Shattuck playing bass. She was the singer/songwriter/front woman of the American punk band The Muffs. Anywho this pixies song has been in their concert rotation/set list for many years. It was supposed to be inspired from Frank hearing about Japanese men who did familial murder/suicides after business failures, driving off piers. Per his songwriting, it mixes depth and the ethereal, with redemption/catharsis. He sings “…can find my way to Mariana…”, the deepest place on earth and an island chain. It’s actually about 80 miles off the coast here in the Mariana Islands; the Marianas Trench, the challenger deep 6.8 miles down.

And for the weird pic below, the rooster crossing the road; I call this street Pooty-tie, another street that I hardly have a clue how to pronounce., but the first couple words might sound like that.
