310 days since last year March 20

It’s rainy season winter here and the hospitals are saying they are having a lessening of admissions while the news keeps saying that new strains are occurring that are more infectious. They say double up on your protection now so I got a p100 mask, that I wear with a surgical mask for the exhaust, when I think I might be around people who still refuse to wear a mask while violating social distancing.

So many things are different now and one of the things that is the most tricky is that it’s difficult to make plans because everything is so topsy-turvy.

Yesterday for my daily planner I wrote just think start at home. After deep diving into various perspectives of philosophy, looking for some symmetry to just focus like mom always said: pay attention to what you’re doing.

Today, I watched a live stream of one of my favorite sailing couples – -followtheboat – (sort of stuck in a nice harbor in Malaysia after sailing by Borneo) , and there’s another – adventure adrift – that is starting back up. So the cruisers are chomping at the bit looking to get on, and the fact that they are means things are going to slowly open back up later this year.

Dr Fauci has been saying “fall”, when we achieve enough immunity to open. So much for the summer of love I keep looking for… Anyway, nice to be heading for a hopeful finish line that is more like a very long tapering to new normals.
