I checked the CDC for updates. The link to a recent CDC update is set to open in another browser window. And in case you’re not going to check: increase in covid transmission and hospitals filling up. Stay at home and distance especialy for everyone because no symptom people are half of the transmissions. Low risk age ranges need to know that they are less likely to die from covid but may have some long term effects on health and will still transmit the virus often unknowingly. The problem with that is eventually a person who is cavalier about distancing and mask wearing is in a large part some of the 50 percent transmission of covid by people with no sympton but are still spreading the virus.
Eventually the person in lower risk of death category bumps into someone who is higher risk and what happens is a possible death sentence to the higher risk person since the lower risk person didn’t even know if they had it or will get it again and didn’t bother to wear a mask or social distance.
So even in families people are wearing masks indoors to not pass the virus by anyone who may have just picked up the virus from anyone/anywhere unless completely isolated.
It sounds extreme and it is. The death rate is a 9/11 just about each day now. That’s a reality that simply causes us to more than double down with safety this winter and hopefully before summer most people will be vaccinated.
I can’t wait to be safe to be around people. Some of us still think it’s a hoax and not even hospitals filling up changes thier mind and there is that deep sadness with wondering about how people can be in an illusion that is so destructive.
So we carry on and try to be safer and remind each other to be safer and help where we can.
