Fina’Denne’, a traditional dipping sauce on tuna sushi
Did a simple mix of lemon, soy sauce, onion and local hot peppers and put it on half of the tuna roll (yes that’s 1.50 worth of sushi roll) and ate it with some local plum. The peppers are in a few stores now, red and green. I don’t know if they are the super/super hot ones, though they are like eating the red peppers in a Thai dish (and seem like they couldn’t be too much hotter if they tried). I’ll bet roasting them and making Mexican type salsa would make masterpiece sauces too. Adding to each bite a slice of cold plum, sweet and tart, kept the sweat from forming so much. Ridiculously yummy!
