Skip this first three paragraphs of complaining and rationalizing etc and then there’s the cool food stuff and fairly bad pictures of the process, right after “…happy place, with cheese.”
Yes a nice car and place is in the works. I’m not stupid desperate and I’m much more even keeled now. The nightmares have subsided, the sharks aren’t any less hungry but no blood coming off me. I’m not teaching the world how to not lie directly to each other. I swam with them until the routines got old again, and now keepin my eyes open, getting around a lot more, and I’ll find what I need. All that has come to me so far is junk or obvious scams.
I could have known that K-Cars Saipan is defunct, though with trickery the company has you run around in circles until you eventually realize that you would have to call them in another country, and import it mostly yourself through a freight company on a boat, or buy one off someone selling one that’s already on the island (guess what, no one is selling one on the island right now). Someone tried to tell me the company was defunct on Saipan when I was first looking and they shortened it so much I didn’t’ know what they meant. Found out though. And how could I have know that once I arranged the budget for a lower priced reasonable car at a dealer (like K-cars Saipan), that I had already made old sales dog judgement on the handful of dealers. Besides they had nothing close really. If I hear “I’ll get you the mileage for that one” again, I’m not going to scream, just move on. I’ve already sat down in more than one car that was “go sit in it to see that it’s junk”. How about “need money for sick family” in the for sale line. Ok, move on…
Not saying I’m vulnerable and slamming the door, or I know better about all this go-to-an-island stuff. I can talk about the emotions etc, even if people have their own sets of challenges they are working through, we might find time to work on them together. This is certainly a series of humbling experiences and stuff you just can’t fake your way through as easy as face first is gonna be. And face first is the most real it can be. Fucking pain in the ass lying scum bag scammers and all. I must have a good portion of all that in me cuz wading through the cesspool at a few points really got me chapped.
And that leads to a happy place, with cheese.
The mis en plac: Long green beans (I don’t remember the proper names but I’ve considered growing them, I think they grow on a trellis and produce quick, regularly and high volume, don’t remember the sun and soil they like), clockwise; Calamasi (tropical lemon tasting fruit, I plan to grow) soy sauce from Philippines, Banana sauce, basically sweet spicy ketchup also from Philllipines, Habanero sauce from mexico, and I didn’t use that organic coconut oil from Korea since I got busy with everything else and didn’t need it, (though I use it on my hair and dry skin every day), Cheddar from U.S.A., Flour tortillas, local I think and thawed out nicely in the fridge, and another excellent condiment/spice/sauce the Palabok gravy from the Philippines (maybe too complex for now to describe but awesome) for my gourmet local vegetable sweet and spicy savory wraps in asian gravy and cheese with exotic tropical/east asian fresh fruits on the side.

First a quick description of the ingredient sourcing; the beans were in a cart full of those bags for a buck a piece at a little market. And I’ve been picking up a sauce at a time and hadn’t found locally produced coconut oil (stock fluctuates). Sauces take a whole isle in a small market on the island and they are from a bunch of countries, so I’m in heaven. Each item under 2 bucks each, maybe the oil was 3. Below pic is the fruit for 3$.

Fuzzy pic for the best fruit I had in my life. I’ve fabricated many cases of fruit in my heavy Garde manger chef years, and in this 3 dollar tray on a remote tropical island that’s where you find the right stuff. I had one bite of the green melon there that was as good as it could possibly be and the rest of it was 9 out of ten. That’s not partially ripe stuff that they filled the thing with. It’s Asian pear and pineapple and almost every bite like “this is for real”. I counted around six types of fruit and melon. Even the orange and grapefruit slices were fresh and tastey. I don’t know but it looks like Chinese on the top wrapper, maybe they froze it and flew it over and it just thawed. Maybe they somehow soaked it in syrup though each bite is sweet all the way through. Major discovery and yep, if the forever chemicals don’t take me out then I’m eating good now. And, growing beans unless I can keep getting them like that for next to nothing.

Here’s right outta the bag, then rinsed with tap water then filtered water and cut to size. I put on a head lamp and looked at um close up. Little beans that arn’t hard, I read that sometimes they get old and stiff and a bit larger, but these had beans inside that had some darker color and smaller green ones. Both make good crunch fresh or al-dente blanched/boiled etc.

So far I have a plastic knife and they scare me a little like they will break and I’ll get cut on jagged plastic. Scissors? Ok. Always carry. The fork has a rubber band that is at the max length to stick into my tallest cup that I first mix the gravy in cold water and maybe 5 drops of habanero, stick the beans in, then the purified water dispenser by the microwave has a hot button and filled the 2 cups up to 3/4 inch from the top and microwaved 3 1/2 minutes (this things maybe 3/4 a regular high powered one), checked and 2 more minutes and they had bubbled good enough. The next pic is the first smallest wrap but it just shows that I wrapped them. See the description below the pic after it to get the results. No my hand isn’t actually purple, I did the same quick filters for each pic so they weren’t too bland looking and wound up purple…so be it.

I ate 3 in a row, 3rd the biggest and took bites of the best fruit ever with it. I made each one the same since the first was insane goodness, regardless of whether I also chomped on an asian pear or pineapple etc, the fruit with it was something I want to remember and have all my neighbors eat. Here’s the secret formula: I’ve been a chef a bunch of years outta my life and eaten in so many of the finest restaurants that I stopped trying to remember the names, and you won’t find fruit that good anywhere, but if you do, that’s an awesome start (without them on the side the main would be great but not stellar, like with). And the main: the fresh blanched beans in hot Asian gravy with cheese stuffed in and melted, I didn’t mention the cheese, shame on me, it would be good without cheese though cuz it was just that good. Here’s the sauces that I did the same for each since it was so tasty; a few dollops of banana sauce, and a cap full of calamansi soy sauce and the beans with gooey cheesy, habanero gravy with more cheese on top. I don’t know what to call it, but, glad I found it. I didn’t mention how taking a bite of the wrap and then sipping the sauce and interspersing taking a bite of fruit, is eating like a king. The only thing I didn’t have was an exotic drink…I’ll get on that.
