Told my phone camera to translate asian text since I’m going to market. Got a fridge/freezer and a microwave so it’s back to my favorite market to try out the translation and there’s another market right around the corner (I was there yesterday/stellar, no wonder everyone says go there). Bread or tortillas seem limited on island, rice is the thing I guess. Anyway I did see this random video that talked about how on Okinawa which is relatively close 1300 miles, where people are very healthy., so all of this asian food around me on this island fits my plan of stopping feeling like I’m 90 already.
instant noodles
bread frozen or those packaged squares
fruit and veg frozen or sushi with veg
look for already cooked or instant rice
matcha powder
sauces and/or s&p
look for coconut oil
Think healthy at least and just pat yourself on the back for not just ordering in even though you feel like you ran a marathon yesterday.
I turned on the translator and piinted it at a massive selection of sauces for a tiny corner market, and it asked to download Chinese as I was trying to make sense of probably Chinese, Japanese and other east Asian labels including Filipino, so I winged it and bought calamansi (the island version of lemon) soy sauce and grabbed some different flavors of completely new to me single packaged deserts. Don’t worry, I havn’t got this much exercise in months so I deserve it…
